Chronic Skin Itching in Dogs! Time to Try a "Skin Test"

Why does your dog keep licking their paws, scratching their face, developing red rashes, or getting recurring ear infections that clear up and come back again? Take the case of Duey Duay, who came in with chronic skin itching. He'd been treated multiple times with anti-itch medication and antibiotics, but didn't improve much. The veterinarian began to suspect it might be an allergy, so they tried switching him to a hydrolyzed (small-molecule) protein diet. He improved slightly, but the results weren't conclusive, so he was referred to the Dermatology and Allergy Center for diagnosis using an Intradermal Skin Test.
