Q : What constitutes a pet emergency requiring immediate veterinary care?
A :

Seek emergency care immediately for: difficulty breathing, collapse, seizures, uncontrolled bleeding, suspected poisoning, inability to urinate (especially male cats), severe vomiting or diarrhoea, pale or blue gums, or any sudden neurological signs. Tel. 02-079-9999

Q : My pet was hit by a car – what should I do?
A :

Keep the pet as still as possible, minimise movement of the spine, and transport immediately to the hospital. Call ahead so the emergency team can prepare. Tel. 02-079-9999


Q : My cat cannot urinate – is this an emergency?
A :

Yes – urinary obstruction in male cats is life-threatening. Without treatment within hours the pet can die from kidney failure and electrolyte imbalance. Come to the Emergency Clinic immediately


Q : What toxins are most dangerous for dogs and cats?
A :

For dogs: xylitol, grapes/raisins, chocolate, rat poison, ibuprofen/paracetamol, certain plants. For cats: lilies (highly toxic), paracetamol (extremely toxic), essential oils. Contact the emergency team immediately if ingestion is suspected. Tel. 02-079-9999
