เกือบสิ้นพระชนของจริง!...แมวกลืน ’เข็มเย็บผ้า’

เป็นอีกหนึ่งเคสที่ทำเอาทีมหมอกับพยาบาลหายใจไม่ทั่วท้อง เมื่อผู้ปกครองมาน้อง STORMY มาที่โรงพยาบาลแล้วแจ้งว่าน้องเผลอกลืน "เข็มเย็บผ้า" เข้าไป เข็มเย็บผ้าถือเป็นสิ่งแปลกปลอมอันตรายอาจทำให้เกิดการทะลุของทางเดินอาหารได้ตลอดเวลา จึงต้องรีบเอาออกโดยด่วน

เมื่อมาถึง คุณหมอทำการวินิจฉัยโดยการ X-ray ทันที และพบเข็มเย็บผ้าอยู่บริเวณกระเพาะอาหารของน้อง แทนที่จะใช้การผ่าตัดเปิดช่องท้อง คุณหมอเลือกใช้ตัวช่วยพิเศษคือ "การผ่าตัดแบบส่องกล้อง (Endoscope)" ซึ่งเป็นการนำสิ่งแปลกปลอมออกมาจากกระเพาะอาหารโดยไม่จำเป็นต้องเปิดช่องท้องสัตว์เลี้ยง เทคนิคนี้ไม่ได้แค่ช่วยชีวิตน้องไว้ได้อย่างปลอดภัย แต่ยังลดบาดแผล และฟื้นตัวได้เร็วกว่าการผ่าเปิดช่องท้องอีกด้วย หลังจากการส่องกล้อง น้อง STORMY ได้เข้าพักฟื้นเพื่อสังเกตอาการอย่างใกล้ชิดใน ห้อง ICU เป็นเวลา 1 คืน เพื่อให้มั่นใจว่าไม่มีภาวะแทรกซ้อนใด ๆ เกิดขึ้น วันรุ่งขึ้นน้องก็สามารถกลับบ้านได้อย่างปลอดภัยแล้วค่ะ

SOS!...Cat Swallows ’Sewing Needle’

This was another case that made the team of vets and nurses hold their breath. The owner brought little STORMY to the hospital and reported that, "The cat accidentally swallowed a ’sewing needle’." A sewing needle is a dangerous foreign body that can cause perforation of the digestive tract at any moment, so it had to be removed immediately.

Upon arrival, the vet performed an X-ray right away and located the needle in the cat’s stomach. Instead of opting for open-abdominal surgery, the vet chose the special helper: "Endoscopic Surgery (Endoscope)". This technique allows the foreign object to be retrieved from the stomach without needing to open the pet’s abdomen. This technique not only safely saved the cat’s life but also minimized wounds and allowed for a much quicker recovery than open surgery.

After the endoscopy, STORMY was admitted for close observation in the ICU room for 1 night to ensure no complications occurred. The next day, the little one was safely discharged and went home!
